Quebec Manitoba BC has published the most recent number of invitations to apply issued to candidates through their provincial immigration programs (PNP).
Except for Quebec and Nunavut, all provinces and territories run their own provincial nominee programmes (PNPs). These programmes for economic immigration give provincial governments the ability to choose applicants who will most likely successfully integrate into their economies while addressing critical labour shortages.
The provinces and the federal government share responsibilities for immigration. PNPs give provinces the opportunity to choose persons they believe would settle down permanently and assimilate well into the province, but Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has the final decision on whether to grant any applicant permanent resident status.
The immigration policies of Quebec are unique from those of the rest of Canada in that the province is responsible for its administration. Only Quebec has authority over immigrants from every economic class.
