Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates in the Express Entry pool have not been invited to apply for permanent residence since the last-all program draw, nearly two months ago, on January 18.
The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) enables international students to gain Canadian work experience, which can help them transition to permanent resident status.
7,000 applicants with a minimum CRS score of 490 are invited by IRCC. Since January 18, this is the first all-program draw.
IRCC held Express Entry PNP-only draw making it the third of the year already. Invitations were sent to 667 applicants having a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 748 by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Canada is calling this initiative “An Immigration System for Canada’s Future”.
The number of people with work and study permits who were granted permanent residency last year has been updated by the IRCC.
