Many foreign people are not required to complete a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) in order to work in Canada. What is Canada’s International Mobility Program (IMP)?

LMIA-exempt foreign workers are covered by the International Mobility Program (IMP). Being exempt from an LMIA does not exempt a person from acquiring a work permit.
